After the tragedy, people left thousands of tributes at the fence of the fire station. We display some in this Tribute and Learning center. Like these fire departments T-shirts from all over. And we tell here the story of the 19 Hotshots. Working here brings healing." We love to ride our motorbikes, but this time it was very special. 19 of our brothers died fighting fire. That's the most in one day since 9/11. We wanted to pay them tribute with our ride." (see 📸2) #firefamily Thanks @wesforbach for the interview and the fire station visit. Not many people know about the death of the 19 Hotshots. I feel I am on a mission to bring awaress of it. I am a hiker, and without firefighters protecting the trails, I would not be able to do all these hikes in Arizona. So now, whenever I hike on a summit, I bring the Memorial flag. I have already hiked 15 times the Granite Mountain Memorial Trail. But I want to do it 19 times, one for each of the Yarnell 19 who died" #PilgrimHeart Thanks @sean_rosic for your interview and your gifts. I am glad we could meet at last in Phoenix. #americanpilgrimages #PelerinagesAmericains #granitemountainhotshots #granitemountain #hotshots #firefighters #firemen #wildfirefighting #yarnell19 #travel #usa #America #memorial #tribute #arizona A post shared by Alex Gra (@alexgrardel) on Jan 11, 2020 at 10:05am PST
