#FirstPersonToMeetInHeaven. "I would love to go to Mt Vernon for George Washington", Deborah told me when visiting Washington Headquarter. "Because George Washington is the second person I want to meet in heaven" (pic 2). It was in NJ, a few weeks ago. So today, I went to Mt Vernon, VA, to visit Washington's home (pic 1) and his grave. A man told me here: "every American should do the pilgrimage to Mt Vernon once in there lifetime" (pic 3). #FrancoAmerican #Friendship. "Without Washington and the help of the French, we would be English" Suzann told me at Mount Vernon. Visitors at Mount Vernon pay tribute to the father of the nation, who was helped in his endeavor by the Marquis de la Fayette. Washington had a room in the house for La Fayette only, with a La Fayette portrait (pic 2). In Mt Vernon is also a key, the key of la Bastille (pic 3). #RIPgeorge. 220 years ago, George Washington died. He was 67. Pilgrims across the country pay tribute to the "father of the nation", at his New Jersey headquarter (picture 1) and, more so, in his Mt Vernon estate.
