Happy birthday Bobby! #onthisday Bobby Kennedy would be 94 year old. And like every year since Robert F. Kennedy died, Tom pays his tribute at Arlington cemetery. "Coming twice a year for him, that's the least I can do. I come twice for Bobby, twice for John and twice for Ted Kennedy. They represented what I believed in, they served the nation, they never quit, they asked what they could do for their country, even if it had to cost them their lives". Tom also told me : "I like to talk with people when I come here. Thank you for the long interview we had together." #Bobby 🗳️ As the Democratic primary is taking place in California, let's remember Bobby Kennedy, the man who won the California primary in 1968. Following his celebratory speech, Bobby Kennedy was shot that night, 5 years after his brother John 😔. . This tragic event took place in the Ambassador hotel, which does not exist any more. Instead, a group of schools was built, the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools, to support Bobby's vision for education. . 👨‍💼🍞👨‍🌾 On March 10th, 1968, César Chavez broke his 23-day fast. Inspired by Gandhi, César was on a hunger strike to protest against the violence done to the members of his farm workers union ✊🧘‍♂️. Bobby Kennedy joined César to share bread, thus endorsing the farm workers 🤝. This meaningful event is pictured by Judy Baca in a meaningful place: the library of the Robert F. Kennedy Schools.
