#JohnSteinbeck 🎂📚Happy Birthday John! Glad I could meet fellow fans in your town last week. I love the story of these two, James and Colette. When they met, Colette told James she was from Salinas, and James said: "That's where Steinbeck is from! I love Steinbeck books." Colette knew straight away James was the right man for her. 🇺🇸🗺️📚"People don't take trips. Trips take people" (John Steinbeck)… This mapping of Steinbeck's trip across the US rings a bell in me. Because I somewhat circled – or rectangled – the US like Steinbeck did. And because I really enjoyed reading the story of Steinbeck's pilgrimage with his dog during my own pilgrimage. I totally recommand his book "Travels with Charley" – the one I proudly hold in my hand. Like Steinbeck, I tried to understand who the Americans are. I wanted to pay tribute to him in his hometown, Salinas. Where I discovered the map – and some fellow pilgrims. . Once again, Happy Birthday John 🎂!
